3 Control Modes
Via xPrompter’s exclusive “Prompt-Net” feature, a network hierarchy of multiple workstations can be configured making xPrompter capable of a more enterprise level control scenario, such as in a broadcast news, award telecasts or even large scale corporate/inspirational presentations. By having of any one of the workstations choose between three different operational modes, Controller, Backup or Editor, you can have as large of an enterprise topology as necessary to get the job done.
- Controller Mode: This mode is the default for most stand-alone applications. In Controller mode all editing, scroll engine, graphics display, speaker timing and control features are available.
- Backup Mode: While in the Backup mode, the workstation will mimic that of its connected controller: keeping both in perfect sync with one another. This allows the Backup to be ready to instantly takeover over in the event of any breakdown in the Controller workstation.
- Editor Mode: The Editor acts as a script server for any of the Controller’s connected to it. From this position, a producer or copy editor can generate updates and insert them directly into any Controller, even while a script is being scrolled live. They would also have master control of the Controller’s speaker timer and the time acceleration feature.
NOTE: Support for NRCS via MOS will be coming soon.
