ifelseWare, Inc. AV-Presets ifelseWare is pleased to announce the inclusion of Spyder 300 and X-20 to the list of devices their AV-Presets product is compatible with. Combined with its control of many Barco presentation switchers, AV-Presets is now the universal tool for working a vast majority of events. As a reminder, AV-Presets is a convenient way to execute preset, user, command and function keys respectively from any Windows PC and/or wireless tablets. The primary difference between AV-Presets and other apps is that it communicates with the switcher using the exact same command strings as Vista Advanced or Barco's Event Manager. This means the app will also receive all data back, which enables a live depiction of both the preview and program destinations, current source/layer sizes and positions. Spyder operators will appreciate this layout’s similarity to Vista Advance. Additionally, the large preset buttons are automatically populated with the same preset labels originally created in either management software, thus there is no need to re-enter. AV-Presets remains in perfect sync with any and all configuration changes performed using the Event Manager, such as adding or removing presets, destinations, layers and even sources. The order in which presets are displayed can easily be rearranged to suit an event’s need. A choice of ten different colored tints can be applied, making it easier to distinguish particular groupings. For Barco users individual transition times can be assigned for each preset, which overrides the default setting and is also configurable. For Spyder we have added convenient default function buttons, such as total layer freeze, clearing all layers and background toggling. Users can now perform one button toggling between any of the ‘relative’ command keys. For all systems, AVP keeps track of the last command in program and automatically places it back into preview once a transition is complete, which eliminates the need to continually re-select the alternating command key. This feature can be easily enabled or disabled and will know not to act when an ‘absolute’ command key is triggered. What makes AVP even more convenient is the ability to easily switch between switcher types on the fly, enabling quicker access on larger hybrid type events where both E2 and Spyder are being used simultaneously. Additional upgrades include: legacy support for Encore and Screen Pro, and the inclusion of keyboard shortcuts, making it possible to control AV-Presets with any keyboard emulating remote control surface.
